We use stainless steel hardware! Why settle for less than the best? While cedar's preservative oils are great for helping to enhance cedar's life and durability, it doesn't mix well with certain metals. Using the wrong screws, nuts and bolts will eventually lead to black stains adorning your beautiful furniture. Even hot-dipped galvanized steel will eventually give way to the oils and start leaving stains on the wood. This process is especially accelerated near coastal locations where the salty air can react with lower quality hardware. Some companies charge you extra to provide stainless steel nuts and bolts as a special add-on, but at ADIRONDACK CHAIR WORKS it's our standard!
  
And remember, we never use glue or nails in our furniture, which can eventually loosen or weaken. We only use screws, nuts and bolts that are sure to last for generations to come; and not just any type of screws, nuts and bolts, we use the type that are not threaded near the head whenever they shouldn't be.
  
What does this mean for you? LONGER LASTING FURNITURE! You see, threads near the heads of bolts that are in a position of withstanding stress wear away the wood, thereby loosening their grip and enlarging the hole over time. We spend more on our hardware so that you'll have the best product possible.
